A new publication under the title “How to Eradicate HIV Completely” authored by a Physician, Dr. Robert Muhumuza, and Rev. Obed Rubaiza, is now available in Uganda and USA.
An easy-to-read and yet intellectual enough, this book will provide you with a new concepts and a contour of the spread and prevalence of HIV locally and globally. It is a “how to” in approach and discusses issues on HIV that go beyond the management and control of disease progression by therapeutic treatment, morbidity and mortality rate, hitherto discussed on the subject of the disease, to the final eradication of HIV.
The book further discusses the cluster phenomenon, the axis on which HIV evolves, and the systematic ways of controlling and eradicating the cluster. Also a new strategy to eradicate the disease is introduced. Immunization by Education strategy (IBES) is considered as a paradigm shift from the ABC strategy which helped Uganda to reduce the HIV prevalence from 20% about 10years ago to 6% to date. However, the stagnation at 6% for so long is sending negative signals to the nation that has been a success story in the combat against HIV / AIDS epidemic. Materials in this book may once again be seen as a national breakthrough.
